A nurse reportedly kidnapped and compelled to drive an escaped convict by way of Sydney has spoken of her terrifying ordeal.
Mother-of-three Rachelle stated she was unpacking groceries in her driveway at Little Bay in southern Sydney when a violent fugitive approached her.
“I saw blood on him, so I was pretty scared. He told me he escaped from (Long Bay) Prison,” she stated.
He allegedly demanded her automobile keys, however she refused, so he advised her to get within the automobile and drive it herself.
“I was very scared…he told me he wouldn’t hurt me as long as I did what he told me to do.

“My heart was racing but what was going through my mind was when can I run, when can I run for it,” she shared 9News.
The man charged with Rachelle’s kidnapping is Jason Neil Melbon, who has been behind bars since 2008 for taking pictures a lady in a carjacking.
The 43-year-old has lower than 18 months of that sentence left.
“He said he shot several people, his life was in danger in prison and he just wanted to get out,” Rachelle stated.
She managed to flee him after driving 9 miles by way of the town to Beverley Park.
“I pretty much ran with my key in my top and ran up to it, screaming ‘Help me,’ and then beautiful neighbors came to my rescue,” the mom stated.
Police arrested Melbon shortly afterwards when he allegedly tried to interrupt into properties within the space.
He was in courtroom on Tuesday and was charged not solely with assaulting Rachelle, but additionally assaulting one other lady and tying her up with energy cables.

Melbon was a minimal safety inmate doing yard work at Long Bay Prison when he allegedly climbed a fence and ran to Little Bay and allegedly assaulted the 2 ladies.
Rachelle stated she is “very disappointed with the correctional services for putting me in this position.”
NSW Corrective Services’ Adam Wilkinson stated he wish to ‘apologize to the victims involved in (the) incident’.
Melbon was refused bail by the Sutherland native courtroom and can seem in courtroom once more on October 12.
