Her father Brad Reid stated it was a “miracle” that his daughter survived.

“After the longest week of life-saving surgeries, she miraculously defied all odds and is still with us,” he stated.

“She has the biggest fight ahead of her, but she’s one of the strongest people I know and she’s ready for this fight! T-Bomb will come out of this stronger than ever!’

Ms. Reid’s aunt, Kristin Small, has set up a GoFundMe page to raise money to support the family as she recovers. So far they have raised over $42,000.

Ms Small said her cousin ‘really is the definition of a survivor’.

The “sweet, smart, brave” younger girl turns 21 subsequent month.

“Tominey’s personality radiates warmth and resilience even in these difficult times. Tom has a series of very serious injuries but she is responding well,” Ms Small wrote.

“This appeal is not only to help with her ongoing medical/rehabilitation costs, but also to support her mortgage and other financial responsibilities.”

Ms Reid’s mom, Sarah Small, thanked well-wishers for sending “nice messages for my beautiful girl.”
